Virus Help!!?

I had Comcast as my internet provider was extremely pleased. I moved to Livonia and had to change to Bright House. It has been a mightmare. Comcast provided a disk to get the computer set up Bright House did NOTHING. For nearly two weeks I have found out I had no virus protection. From Bright House I now have eTrust which is not doing the job. Razespyware is in my computere overridding most everything. I have done a search and removed it but it keep coming back. My screen saver keeps going back to there ad. HELP!!!!!

All of these are free. Get them by doing a search (Yahoo, Google, etc.), then download them and run them.

1. AVG anti-virus.

2. Ad-Aware from Lavasoft

3. Spybot Search %26 Destroy

Also, to avoid future problems, use Mozilla Firefox (also free) for your web browser instead of Internet Explorer.

I would download the programs listed from the first answerer (I use microsoft anti-spyware, not search and destroy, so I can't compare them), install them, then update them with the latest definitions. Then restart your computer in safe mode(there are lots of answers on here how to start in safe mode; also, you can learn how to do it here http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsg... .)

Remove the Razespyware program, then run all the programs that you downloaded. Then restart your computer.

Make sure you have a firewall turned on (Windows XP comes with one), and keep the virus program enabled at all times when you are on the internet.
