I am having truoble watching movies on my hp lap top.?

it will not let me watch movies.

I used windows media player and all it give me is connot play do to copyright protection.

and i used ineractiveacutal and all it give me is connot play it says something to do with a sound card.

i don't have internet on my hp and i can'tgo anywhere else to play movies or get information

can any one help i'v even tried to transfer other files from the computer that has internet but it deosn't work.

Don't bother with WMP. Download VLC media player it can paly virtually all video formats as it is packed with most of the codecs you'll come across and it's free.

Download it here:

Copy it to your laptop and install it.

Most DVD software on computers make you choose a region when you first play a DVD...if it worked the first time, the region for that DVD could have been made default. You have a limited number of times you can change the region. Based on the limited information you provided, that may be the case..don't know what region you are or what region DVD you're trying to play.

As for the sound card problem, if you can hear sound normally on your computer, then you should reinstall interactiveactual if you want to use it to play DVDs.
You could use PowerDVD 7. It opens dvds and has the highest quality you cound need!
