Okay so here it goes. I recently purchased a firewall off the website e-trust. Now, I am a student at college so all the firewall protection is already installed up there and my computer now, already has a firewall on it from windows. I'm thinking about deleting the whole program but cannot seem to do it. I go to the control panel to uninstall the program and it says "you do not have sufficient privileges to install or uninstall CA Personal Firewall." Try logging on as the administrator. I am the administrator on my computer, or atleast I thought I was. Any help?
Firewall problem...?antivirus programs
Turn your computer off.
Re boot in safe mode %26#123;usually by pressing the f8 key (just after you press your power button to turn on) and hold it down for a few seconds.%26#125;
Now log in on administrator screen (even though you already are the administrator this is what they meant)
Turn off your firewall.
Uninstall your program.
You might also want to install a program called CCLEANER
this will allow you to keep your computer cleaned up, to control what programs start when you boot up (faster starting computer. sweet! ), clean %26 repair your registry, and best of all uninstall programs without having to use "Windows"
uninstaller.
