Can not change IPS address?

I just got a new Linksys Booster Router. Got set up with an open system wireless and it worked OK. When I am trying to set it up with the encryption mode. My computer will not allow me to change the IPS address. I have Macaffee Total Protection for Antivirus. Any ideas?

You mean the IP address? It is easier to enalble the DHCP server function of the router which automatically assigns an IP address. Since your using mcaffee, make sure the firewall isn't interfering w/ communications. Temporarily disable it and see what happens. If the problem went away, you will need to change the firewall settings.

because a with a user account you can not even change any setting..........................
