Problems with Embarq?

My problem is that eversince Embarq(Sprint) made us switch from using Earthlink as an virus protection center and made us start using something called Embarq online security my computer has been running really slow so can somebody please tell me why

Embarq is no longer Sprint. Embarq was spun off of Sprint into its own company. Losing the Earthlink security was a by- product of Embarq ending its relationship with Earthlink and beginning to use its own email service. The Embarq Online Security was created to replace losing the Earthlink security but it is by no means forced onto your computer. It is a very system intensive resource and if it's causing your system to run slow then you just don't have the memory and RAM on your computer to run it. I recommend these programs. One is to protect against viruses and the other for spyware. They will take up less room and still do the job.

Problems with Embarq?spyware remove

When you installed the Embarq Online Security program did you first uninstall any other antivirus/antispyware/firewall program? If so you should probably uninstall the Embarq software and also uninstall your antivirus/antispyware/firewall software. Then you can either reinstall the Embarq software or do what I did and use AVG Antivirus free, Zonealarm free version and Lavasoft Adaware SE free.

I never use the software that the internet provider gives me because it is usually buggy. The exception was back when I had AOL dialup and I had to install the software.

Hope this helps . If all else fails call Emarq but I hear they aren't that good on support. My neighbor called them and they didn't help her I had to go down there and fix it.
