Help!!........?

My computer will not come on at all, I've switched outlets and everything but it just won't come on what's wrong with it? There is no viruses because it has protection and I can't keep it on for more then 2 seconds so there is no way I can do anything. What do I do?

If I read the question correctly, your computer is in fact turning on, but only stays on for a couple seconds.

After that, does it power off by itself or does it just sit at a blank screen.

One possibility is that you have a faulty power supply.

With a faulty power supply, I'd suggest taking it to a Best Buy, Comp USA, or any computer hardware store to see if they can replace it for you. It's probably not something you'd want to attempt yourself. :)

One more thing to check, if you have the original owners manual, see what buttons you might be able to press to go into a System Diagnostics.

Also, if you made any recent hardware changes to your machine, you may have re-wired something incorrectly. That would also create the symptoms you described.

Yes, there are different types of power supplies. If you are doing this yourself, check the Model No. listed and Google/Yahoo search for a compatible power supply. If and when you do swap it out, be sure to remember each connector in use and put them back in exactly as it was. Perhaps label them or something...
