How can I get music off a shared network in Itunes?

A friend of mine has a huge music collection on his computer.

When I connect to his wireless internet his Itunes library appears in my itunes under the "Shared" heading and I can play all of the music. However I can't copy or move any of his music from this folder. Most of the music is stuff that we recorded together so it's no like it has album artwork or any protection.

How can I just transfer the music from this folder onto my computer?

P.S. I am not trying to avoid any licensing or protection that is on these songs. As I said it mostly stuff that we recorded while DJing and so there are no rules against sharing it. We don't want to do this with CD's or removable hard drives because that would take too long.

Any help is much appreciated... Thanks in advance...

Ahh a fellow DJ, well for you I'll recommend the next best thing to taking off shared networks.

It's called Limewire.com

or

Ares: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/aresg...

Both work very nicely, but I don't recommend using them for sharing them to others but for your own personal enjoyment, do not give, sell, or distribute in any way because that's against the law, and upon reading this you understand that you are to take full responsibility for what you download, and I have nothing to do with what you have downloaded, and what you do on your own computer.
