I need to know in theory if this would work for my own security on the sites i visit. Me and thousnds other connect to one big server, then my cards are sent back to me and all the other peoples cards are sent to them. they are shuffled using mathmatical algorithms then screen shots are taken to make sure BOTS are not playing, and sent to the server in theory the screen shots get downloaded to a player instead of staying at the server that player sends them to a helper who is just an observer at the table who opens the screenshots and via telephone tells his friend player what each person in each position has. this has been proven once but i need to know if some one with advnced computer/hacking skills could duplicate the proccess. This is just for my own protection i use the sites for sport and practice thankyou.
Advaced Programming Question!!!!?norten
I can see two issues straight way:
- A bot could still play the table. It would interact with the application masquerading as a user (like a very intelligent macro). So yes the process could be interfeared with.
- User's get upset if you start taking screen shots. It's an invasion of privacy. Everything they have displayed on the screen is captured.
There is no doubt Bots are a big problem for online gaming. If you want to make it harder for a bot to interact with your system you want to use something like Captcha. I am not aware of any software/hardware (at consumer level) that can read Captcha pictures. That doesn't been that someone won't find a technique to read Captcha pictures with a home PC in the next couple of years.
If you up your game the crooks will up theirs!! What works today might not work tomorrow.
