I am confused....help?spyware remove

The only way I think it would be done is by doing what you have tried...

After Tools/options, under Administrator options, clear the Use Windows Defender check box, and then click Save. This does not come up?? At all? Does it ask for a password at all?

Are you running Vista?

Step by Step:

1-- Start, All Programs, then Windows Defender

2-- Tools option at the top of the screen

3-- Settings, then Options

4-- Deselect the 鈥淎utomatically scan my computer鈥?checkbox, the 鈥淯se real-time protection鈥?checkbox, the 鈥淯se Windows Defender鈥?and the 鈥淎llow everyone to use Windows Defender鈥?checkboxes.

5-- Save. Enter password if asked, click Allow or enter in the password.

6-- Close Windows Defender. If the icon remains in the taskbar, right click it and select Exit, then click Yes.

7-- Then: Start, Run (or press the Windows key +R).

Type in services.msc then press OK.

8-- All the way down the page, 2click on Windows Defender.
