My 12yr old brother was dying for a laptop & got one for Christmas. My parents gave it to him w/

restrictions on it....not because they are bad parents but they really don't know much about computers or much about that stuff at all. Anyway, he uses the computer a lot for all his school projects, to go on aim, etc. He has a password set, but did not hesitate to give it to me, my mom and dad (he only didn't want my other brothers to use it). Although he is still very naive and I don't "think" he goes on any bad sites, for his own protection, I want to put some settings on there to block things such as porn....simply because I don't want him to be exposed to that whether he looks for it on purpose or it comes up on accident. What is the best way to do this...meaning...should I tell him I am doing that...should I explain why....should I make the master account under my name so I can change his settings? Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Go for it.. asap

guys get addicted to this stuff soon enough.. U are just helping him out..

I would just do the master thing.. and don't say anything..

I mean .. he would just change it.. if his buddies ever talked him into it..

If and when he finds out .. u can explain then..

and I am sure ur parents will back u..
