Okay. I have a few problems with my computer, that I can't seem to resolve.
1. When starting computer, it takes a long time to boot up. I haven't installed or downloaded anything new recently, any ideas on why this is happening all the sudden?
2. Lately, when running Internet Explorer, I have gotten an error message stating that IE encountered a problem, and needs to close, this too has just started happening recently. I have uninstalled Internet Explorer, and reinstalled a new version to see if that would help, but it hasn't. In fact, there newer version seemed to be worse. I have completely uninstalled IE, and am now using Firefox. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Also, should I just stick with Firefox, and leave IE behind?
I have ran multiple tests on the computer for viruses, etc. All of the tests have came back w/o any viruses, or spyware. I also updated my virus protection, and ran a new scan, but it also came back with no viruses or spyware.
A couple of questions!!?vincent
Amanda, Do this for the first issue (I am assuming you got windows XP):
1. Go to Start -%26gt; Run. In the run box type 'msconfig' and hit OK.
2. On the system configuration utility, go to 'STARTUP' tab. There you would see a long list of programs. At the bottom of the tab, there is a 'Disable All Button'. Click that.
