Dell xps m1530 or macbook pro 15 inch??

Hi,

I am an architecture student, I ahve to buy a laptop for the next semester. I have gotten down to only to options now. The dell xps m1530 or the macbook pro. The options I have are pretty similar. 2.4 core 2 duo processor, 2 gb of ram, Nvidida 256 mb 8600 gt video card. The only difference between the 2 is the hard drive, the one with the dell i am buying is 7200 rpm with the mac one is only 5400 rpm... The dell option has the 3 year warranty, with accidental damage protection, and lojack. As far as the programs, I already own all the programs I need (antivirus, design, photoshop, Autodesk, etc) Both computers, at these specifications are really really similar. The big diffrence is price, around 2,000 for the dell and around 2600 for the mac. what would you recommend me??

Oh and before i forget, I am going to use the computer for design, photoshop, autocad, Revit, Maya, 3ds max, and gaming occasionaly.

Alright, let's get one thing straight. Macbook... god forbid... PROS, aren't gods, despite popular belief. I do not understand where these apple humpers emerged from, who claim to choose a mac over an xps with out a second of hesitation. You really want to take the opinion from that of a religious fanatic, fine, may the zeal of apples be with you.

Ahem. LISTEN TO WHAT THEY'RE SAYING TO YOU, spend 700 more on a brand for a SLOWER hard drive. THEN they want you to BUY A FRIGGEN PROGRAM to run WINDOWS on MACS just so you can put that fancy schmansy graphics card to proper USE. And IF everything is the same you just ASSUME that vista is going to get you more problems? have you SEEN the bongbags who struggle with vista? "duh why won't my vista run i have 516 mb ram 1.5 GH processor durr macs r better lols", now you say wait a minute, the mac OS runs on 2 gigs of ram, I WONDER THE HELL WHY, next you say vista has viruses... mac has virsus too, do a little thing called google and a list pops up, i assure you, know what that means fan boys? you try wagging your john on a mac, you still get worm bites on your hard drive. The douches at apples need to literally make fun of PCs and OSs just to make advertisement, this typical douchebaggery is especially resonated amongst the demography of apple - typical douche bags. Go with the sure thing kid, get what your daddy got, there's nothing wrong with PCs, its the apples that are rotten. ;)
