In the past few days, I've been getting random, full window pop-up advertisements. What's

I'm using the latest Firefox and it's pop-up blocker, plus Norton Protection Center, but only the basic one, since my free subscription expired a few months back.

The computer is 4 months old, and does not have any viruses.

The thing with these pop-ups is that they're adverisements, they're the size of windows, and they pop-up randomly. By randomly, I mean that they pop-up regardless of the website I'm on. Basically, as long as Firefox is open, these windows will pop-up anytime, even if I'm not changing sites.

Just now, another one popped up and told me that my computer is infected with a virus, but it was a tiny window at the bottom.

HELP PLEASE! (sorry for the long explanation).
