My internet security suite subscription is about to expire in a month. Recently I've been doing some research on what to do when it does expire. I currently have McAfee Total Protection. I am trying to decide whether to simply renew my subscription or switch to Norton Security Center. Most of my research reveals that McAfee is lagging in virus detection, while Norton is among the best. However, Norton is known to make your computer lag. What would be my best choice here? Renew McAfee or switch to Norton?

Switch to AVG Antivirus FREE.....
Have had it for 2 years now and it's been terriffic.
I used to be a Norton fan a few years back, but would never install it or McAfee on my computers ever again. In fact if it came down to having to pay for an Antivirus program I'd spend my money on AVG.

Why would you spend $60 or $70 for McAfee or Norton when you can get the job done better for less than half of that price?
