Is Neopets.com safe?

Because the last few times I have been on, its been difficult. I stopped for a loong time, because I thought it was giving me computer problems, Slowness, and a trojan horse on one occasion. Is the site the problem, or something else?

HAve you experienced anything out of the ordinary?

I have some new protection (norton), so...I dunno!

probably wasn't the site. it was something you downloaded. u hav limewire or anything? been downloading ''free'' stuff? its probably those not neopets... i don't understand why someone would want to crash a 5-year old's computer...

neopets if fine it just slows down your computer. Just restart the computer after you are finished

I used to be an avid user of Neopets, and I never had a problem with it. You could just be going to sites that are unsafe. You should do a virus scan before and after you visit Neopets to see if it really is the problem.

It's safe, they take extra precautions to make sure of that cause its a kid's site. The slowing down thing may have something to do with the fact that a lot of people go on that site, so it take longer to get from page to page. I doubt that you've gotten a virus from it though...
when i went on it, it was fine for me. :] maybe you have a virus or something on the computer, but prolly not cuz of norton. Well, try it again, maybe it wont be as slow :] hope that helps

The site is safe. The Norton anti-virus software checks and rechecks most site for certification. To allow the site to upload properly you can adjust the security settings for that web site.
If you had to download a program to run Neopets then it could be slowing down your computer. I doubt a recognized company like that would be sneaking viruses or trojans in their products.
It's probably the safest website I know of.
