My laptop has been freezing up?why?

My computer went all haywire and i had to send it back to hp to be repaired,long story short the had to replace my hard drive and system board.I just got it back a few days ago and ever since it has been freezing up like crazy,it will freeze then i have to give it a few mins. then it will resume.what could be causing this.I have also got a blue error page twice now where it says your computer will not be shut down for your protection-if this is the first time this has happened please restart your computer,if this has happened before do the following.... well then the page go's away i cant read it all that fast wth? should i send it back again of is this something i can fix myslef?

It sounds as if its the system board. Sometimes this happens and its the hard drive, however, in your case it may be one or both of them. If you machine is under warranty, have them replace it again.



Also, how much ram do you have? Are you using Vista? If so, you will need at least 2gig of ram for Vista to run properly.

There a several reasons why your computer is freezing. First question is when was the last time you cleaned your registry. Having a corrupted registry can cause a whole host of errors and problems. Freezing up is one of them. If you have a lot of unnecessary registry keys that are hogging up your computer resources. Your computer is bound to choke. Scan your registry with a good registry cleaner. If you pull up more than 20 errors or duplication, clean your registry.
